Wanted need front half of driveshaft for fj62,please read

well went to grease the slip joint and it was coming around into the ujoint area rather into the slip part of the shaft itselfi had a roar at higher speeds thats why i checked.anybody got a good one i will pay on the spot.ujoint itself i will buy another one .just need the front half of the shaft.thanks guys chris

It sounds like the metal grease cap just popped off. This can happen when the DS has too much grease and gets compressed suddenly. I doubt that's why it would roar. Try your local drive line shop-thay may be able to put a new cap on it.

I think, but am not certain, that any 85-87 drive shaft short section will match up. Temporarily, could you get by with the short part of your front driveshaft?

its got a real bad wobble i was thinking it was the problem because the shaft turns all the time even though the transfer case is not in.of course you know that but it only did it at higher speeds 45 or over,i will try that tomorrow night when i change the ujoint it was also shot no grease at all in the slip joint also.does the cap pop back in if i tap on it with a brass drift and a brass hammer would that do it maybe.thanks man.and oh yea its getting ready to snowi want it workingand yea i did not know it was a cap

I think that means your hubs are locked.
