Belaw I painted my cruiser Cygnus (sickness) White about three years ago. Here is a pic or are you wanting something in your hand. I can find out what the PPG code is if that would help. When I first seen it in the can I thought it was hideous. Now I really like the color. Those pics suck ****py cell phone. Let me know what you need I will accomadate.

Thanks, but I need an actual color sample in hand; I want to have it "computer matched" in ACE rust-stop.
How big a piece of metal. 6x6? 12x12?
I have some scrap metal and extra paint.
Let me put some thought into this.
Would a PPG paint mix code help them?
Do they shoot it with a camera to get a code? i.e. profit
If I had a paint can lid would that do?

That would be great! Anything much larger than postage stamp size sample should be large enough.
Unfortunately the paint code won't help. ACE can only work out mix formulas by direct scan and do not have a data base that allows them to cross-reference to paint codes.
I'll follow up with a PM.

So here is what I am going to do for belaw. That piece of paper is called a spray out card. They use it in the paint and body business to get the best color matches. The differnt color's represent different color of primers. So the body shops can get better color matches. It will have very little relevance in this project. But it is light and easily shipable. In the next couple of night's I will spray the card and ship to belaw. Belaw will take it into Ace and try and get a color match and post the formula. Here are the products I will be using. Hope this will help all the mud members that are wanting Cygnus White for thier cruisers.

Brian just to let you know. I sprayed out 1 last night but did not like it. My filter on the gun was plugged. So the spray out kinda sucked. I will do it again tonight.
And here they are. Be in the mail Monday. A little documentation of the process.
Couple more.
