Didn't realized I had my boys this weekend until late.

Need someplace in NorCal to take them in my Seneca (motorhome).

Everything around Tahoe I checked is booked - any suggestions?

Would love something where we can take our side by side.

Along 89, Emigrant Pass you should find something. Carson river, Wolf Creek, Blue Lakes, and many more lakes are in the area. Weather should be nice and good camping spots, at least dry camping spots. Further East you go the better.

Unlikely to find a campground campsite, but it's possible. There are some very nice spots along Blue Lakes road for primitive camping. Being self-contained helps...

Thanks for the info. I need to know where we are going to land for my own sanity. Everything is either booked or, as is the case around the blue lakes, won't take reservations this close to the day of arrival. I found a spot called Ghost Mountain in Pollock Pines. Anyone heard of it?

He said we can ride our side by side out from there. Anyone knows if there are OHV trails out from Pollock Pines?

It's kind of weird deal. Apparently it's part of a 'membership only' campground system. I'm staying for free, but I have to attend an hour's presentation - just like a timeshare. Not sure what I'm getting myself into, but if I'm not back on Monday, send in the national guard and cult de-programming experts.

Most of the forest service campgrounds hold a number of sites as first-come-first-serve, but still dicey proposition for this weekend. A few weeks ago, we got one of the last sites at Union Valley late on a friday afternoon...

Good luck with your indoctrination.
