Need alternator

Go look at the link I posted earlier in this thread. You get, 2x more power, a longer warranty and it's cheaper than the 200 Alternator. DC Power Inc. takes only new Denso alternators and custom machines new pulleys, front and rear cases to make them fit other applications. For the hundred, no wiring mods are required just a slight bit of grinding on the PS pump bracket. None of the other HO alternator places post idle or hot idle ratings, nor do they load test there alternators, many simply use a smaller pulley and drive the alternator faster to increase the output causing them to fail sooner than OEM.

The pics are not showing in the comparison section of their website but it's worth reading!

Kirk,

Did you use the stock cables for your 270 alt. or do you need to use larger ones for the upgrade?
Thanks
Ken

I ran a parallel 2/0 gauge cable from the battery to the alternator lug and a 2/0 gauge ground. I left all of the other wiring stock.

Thanks
Those sure do look nice.

They are. The owner is awesome, he gave me a tour of his shop. He does a lot of work for Mil spec and police spec. All work is done in-house.

I see you are in SoCal. They are based in Riverside. You can save the shipping and maybe get a discount (I did.) By paying in cash and picking the unit up in person.

Questions on Toyota reman is what specifically do they do or not do? What is replaced versus just tested?

I agree the DC options look interesting. Their quality does seem very high. Concerns would be availability when I need one and longevity relative to a new Toyota unit.
