I'm considering buying a local 2014 LX with about 92 K. No trade involved. . Dealer is asking $34.5 but similar ones are running 32-33K on autotrader, cargurus, etc but not nearby. Vehicle is very clean, no rust, good carfax report. KBB trade says range is 27K-30K and PPV starts at 30K. Given the recent decline in autosales, am I realistic holding out for finding an LX for 30-31K? Part of me thinks the deals will get better for LX/'s in coming months but if I can score a great deal now, then I'll pull the trigger. Thoughts? thx

It's a buyers market right now. Agreed with @CharlieS, make an offer. Aim lower than your actual desired offer. They'll aim higher. The hope is to meet in the middle. Keep the discussion going. Point out the comparable options and price points you've found. No need for final offers. Hang the carrot there. Sounds like you have time on your side and let them know that. They may just be motivated enough to bite.
