I need a Warn 8274 winch bracket that fits on the reel and has the mounting holes. It is the part that holds the right end of the reel as you are facing the winch. Anyone with a junker 8274 please help!

Yes, I checked. They want $100 for the part. I may have to go that way soon. I was hopeing to find something cheaper....

No...I need the whole outer aluminum mounting plate that goes on the right side when you are looking at the winch from the front. The part that holds the winch drum. The part that mounts to the winch mount or bumper. Thanks

IE the melted part in the picture (My old trailer winch which did not survive the fire unscathed):

Yes, that is the part I need.

TTT Still looking for Warn 8274 winch part.

This is a Warn winch right after they bought out Bellview. I do not know if the part you need is the same as on this one. I took a close up picture of the model plate. It is a model 6000. You may want to call Warn and ask them. It looks liek my 8274 and if you want i can set them side by side and get a picture.

If it is the same, I have had the winch for sale in it in the for sale section for $225.00 plus shipping. If it does not sell by the end of the month, it's getting bolted to my trailer.

D'Animal.... Thanks for the reply. The part looks like it may work but I just need the one part not a whole winch. I think I will just bite the bullet and buy the part from Warn. I was hoping that someone had an old junker they would be willing to part out.
Thanks again for the input.

Thanks, but then I would have two winches and I don't have room for all the stuff I have now!!! Working on these FJ-40s a guy can pile up the parts and they seem to just take over your garage.
I am going to just order the part I need from Warn on Monday. My problem happened when I was winching a pickup truck and the cable some how got a little slack and wrapped around the end of the winch drum and mounting bracket. I did not see this (it was dark) I almost pulled the winch right off of the Landcruiser...Ouch! Those 8274's have a lot of power.

I think that part is probably the weakest part of the winch. I don't know why they made it out of aluminum??? Seems like it should be made out of something a lot stronger. Mayge to save weight?
