The patch panels (at least that I got) missed the mark on that whole stepped-corner there. This is how I did mine - I did leave a bit of a tab on the outer skin that likely isn't "OEM" but clears the tub, figured it'd give a bit of stiffness to that corner since it wouldn't be a doubled up pinch.
Photos of mine, white in the corner is just a bit of seam sealer. I rolled that rear flange up, and left that little tab from the 90* lip from the outer skin that runs up the face in the step.
