I want to be able to save a trail mark pionts of interest on it mines caves where i find things .. Loading maps is not important at least i dont think it is .. Then I will need a GPS for dummies guide so i can compare the readings with the map and know where the f i am .. I am looking at this one the music aspect of it is of no interst to me but how about the rest of it ??

You can get the garmin emap for less than that two hundred now-a-days. Awesome but basic and can load maps if'n you want to later. Can seriously save lives to have a good GPS when yer walkin through the forest (depending on size of forest obviously! :D ) HTH.

I was in the Gila 400 million acres on forest roads it was suppposed to take me to a main dirt road but did not so we were slightly misplaced then wanted to get out .. If you go back the way you came that is a defeat ..Today we are treking into the Cibola and using the same raven map of N.M. to get around hopefully a good day ... So where would be a good place to go and buy one Preferablly not online .. On a side note the :princess: was able to guess the road to take to get out I guess she needs to navigate some for me .. that is a demerit on my guy card .. :pig:

I've always been a fan of Garmin's GPS V. You can find them used for about 150 bucks.

Check your local Craigslistings. I got a near new Garmin etrex Legend for $60. They're about $150 new. Works great.
