nead help with tvss alarm

The problem is the remote will not lock the doors. It will activate/deactivate the alarm as well as unlock the doors. I have reprogrammed the remote according to users manual several times. when I got the truck it would not lock or unlock the doors, after the reprogram it will unlock the doors. does anyone know if there is an additional program sequence or is it a mechancial problem

Do the park lights flash when you arm/disarm? They should flash once when arming and twice when disarming. The horn will also honk, if that function is enabled.

Can you lock/unlock the doors using the key or interior switch?

the lights and horn work, and I can lock and unlock from the door the acuator in the door appears to be working fine.

I suspect a problem with the alarm unit itself, because if I recall correctly, the door lock control circuit is looped through the alarm control unit. I have a wiring diagram and installation manual for the TVSS, however it is at home and I am at work. I'll be glad to pull it out tonight and see if I can give you some additional suggestions on troubleshooting the problem.
