Sure, go ahead!

I just use the back-door using the sequence of hidden button pushing on mine....which no longer applies since there are no 50th state nav disks for the 100.

If you're using Nav disks prior to 2007 (iirc), you can override the nav with the hidden button sequence you describe. If you've upgraded your nav disk to a 2007+ version (I'm using 2008 disk) they disabled the hidden button sequence. Not a new topic, but this is a product I haven't seen discussed for 100s before. I know there's the lockpick out there as well.

not true at all. I upgraded to the 2010 disk and i can overide just the same as before using the hidden buttons.

First off, the override we're talking about is:
menu -> volume -> top left -> bottom left -> top left -> bottom left -> then hold override button...
That's what you're talking about and you say it works in a 2010?

I know for a fact the 2008 does not allow that override sequence. Every other account I've seen from people with anything from 2007 to 2010s says they disabled the ability to override nav
See here as an example, and they specify 2010s as well: Lexus Navigation Controversy

Did you buy your vehicle new and you know you don't have lockpick installed (that disables the override)?

What year is your vehicle?

I'm very curious b/c if what you're saying is correct, I'll go shell out for the 2010 so I can get my nav override back - it's extremely helpful and I find myself missing it every time we're on a trip! Please confirm we're on the same page - this would be huge to me and probably others that have upgraded and lost their nav override capability.

-> -> Followup: on this site http://www.toyotaoverride.com/ it says on 2007-2009 there's no override. So is it just toyota's that now have the override in 2010? Can anyone else confirm that 2010 disc upgrade has the override for their Lexus or Toyota?

Thanks!

that is exactly what i am talking about. I have a 2003 100 and ordered my 2010 DVD, and i've been using it for about 3 months now. I didnt buy the truck new, but nothing was done to it to overide anything.

you still have to manually overide it every time you start it but it works on the 2010 DVD.

EDIT: hello, i can confirm it works............

Sorry for bringing this old thread to life again, but I want to know if anybody other than Liam has been able to use the override on the 2010 DVD on gen 2/3? I currently have a 2007 DVD which I can override.
