2002 LX with the factory nav sillyness. It does this thing where I'll intermittently have no sound after starting the truck - everything powers up, just nuthin' from the speakers. Next time I start the truck, I might have sound, I might not, it's pretty random. I am not super good with car audio, but it seems reasonable to suspect the amp, or connection between whatever passes for a head unit and the amp?
I'm ready to delete the whole schmear. Kinda leaning towards the T'EYES unit. Am I correct in assuming that the T'EYES does not bypass the factory amp? And if so, recommendations for what to replace it with? I like my music but I am far from an audiophile. The speakers that are in there sound great to me.
