Mystery electrical plug

I'm troubleshooting an engine that won't start and I'm just confirming electrical connections and I found this plug in the passenger foot well. It's not connected to anything and I don't see anything it could connect to. Any ideas? 96 FZJ

That connector is for the Diff Lock ECU (option).

Awesome thanks, it didn't look like it had ever been plugged into anything so I kinda assumed non equipped options. Thanks again.

There's unused connectors all over these things
