Looks like its brand new. How is your body side molding? My 99 looked new except for the paint starting to peal off the body side molding, I patched it with some touch up paint. Local body shop said they would take off all the moldings and repaint for $160, but I'm to cheap :)

PS- I agree while they are doing your timing belt have them replace the water pump, won't cost much and you will be good for the next 90K miles.

Mine were HORRIBLE! Just nasty looking and peeling up everywhere. The dealer repainted them and they look so much better. I didn't know this was a common problem but I wouldn't doubt it with how bad mine were.

IR: It is all apart right now. The diffs, R&P, bearings, etc. are all down in Sac with Sean at River City Diffs. The plan is to pick everything up a week from this Friday...then start the laborious process of putting it all back together...[/b][/i][/color]

Let me know if you need any help this weekend. I can be up there in less then an hour.

Thanks!!

Yes, the molding is peeling nasty bad. I'm taking to Toyota dealer for the 90k on Wednesday. At the same time I will have them do the water pump. Thanks for the heads up on that!

Do you think it's better to have them paint the molding or have someone replace it?

My LC is a 99 same color as yours. If you want them to look new just have a local body shop remove them and paint them. My local guy said he would do all of the molding for $160, I thought that was a great price. I used some touch up paint and they look OK, can only tell they are touched up from a few feet away. I figured if I spent the $160 and made my LC look perfect then I would not want to use it for what it is made for. Plus I know the minute that I make it look brand new someone will ding it up :).

My paint is starting to look its age and I have debated doing something about it but it is so nice when I am on a tight trail not worrying about the paint and that would change if I got it fixed-up. :(
