Trail-Gear Hydraulic Steering Pump Kit, Hydro Power

I know I will get hate mail cause I bought TG stuff but to me its all about the money. I cannot afford oem sometimes and all kinds of exspensive parts.

First off my first feelings the kit is great......it does better than the oem(outout) and is quite smooth . Very well made and only took 2 minutes to bleed....hell it even comes primed......but with you guys with a spool up front its not the cure all. It helps but you will need steer assist.......period. My front spool is coming out and slapping a detroit up front. My only question is what pump is this? Who makes it? etc....etc. The pump itself is quite small which makes working in the engine bay easy.....or more so whichever. One low pressure line will need trimed and one corner of the pump bracket ( right the under the dizzy....you will see it just look down) will need a few seconds of filing to get the dizzy in its hole. Other than that it is a pefect fit.

oh yea I have the old lines and the pump if anybody needs it. Only thing is when you wiggle the old pulley while you hold on to the pump it (the pump shaft)has some slack. My bracket is not much count

We're all so glad that the trail gear pump worked for you. :meh:

First of all I'm not smart. I'm just an ass :hillbilly:

Is it locked or spooled? Let me know cause I cannot even lock in the hubs on pavement......steering cannot handle it. So far off the road it does but I have not done any real rock wheeling yet.
it works great the little I have tested, my truck is on 32s and at the painter for while now... So I dont really get to test it untill spring...

its aussielocked.. but its winter here so it havent seen any pavement yet... and wont for another 2 months...

My Aussies do fine on solid rock. Pavement i havent had the liberty. Steering is fine with 31's and my hubs turn as easy as they did open. Aussies have my approval over anything in the 'pocket' catergory.
