I drove out to the 'Legends' area on Saturday with the in-laws. After taking the kids to the dinosaur themed cafe for a not-so-great $207 meal (friggin ridiculous!), I spent a few hours at Cabella's mega-store and left with a few bargains that were more my style.

The Carhart washed duck pants are fine, and the Benelli side-by-side is simply great, but the best bargain was the Coleman 2000 continuous/4000 max wattage inverter I found in the 'bargain cave' for $75 (regularly $349 according to the sticker). Box was perfect, original foam packing inside, not a scratch on the inverter (never mounted) and even the instruction manual was there. The two 12" cables to connect to the battery were missing and a bag of 20amp fuses. I'll never use the cables as I plan to hard wire it in the cargo area, and the fuses can be had for less than $5 at any Autozone. What a deal! I'm jealous you KC guys have such a great store (of course, you also have the Cargo Largo bargain store).

Thanks for the bargain!

Yeah, that's probably the one I bought and by mistake sent 24V through it and something smelled kinda burnt. So I took it back and got a new one.

The bargain cave has been very good to me over the years. The boys and I frequently visit Cabelas and Bass Pro.

Oh, and just kidding about the inverter! ;) Seems like that was a great deal you got there. I just pulled the wires to the back last night for my dual battery and inverter install.

Oh man, that really would suck. I guess I better make some quickie connection cables from the welding leads I have laying around and make sure everything seems OK - otherwise I'll have to go buy another one at my local Cabella's and then swap this one into the box and return it :D

That is a really nice area you guys have there. I have visited the last few years over Thanksgiving. I seem to recall there being a tent/trailer setup with Santa and live reindeer in the past - the kids were really looking for this. Must be a tough year for Santa financially - as he couldn't make it.
