The texture depends on pressure setting and the distance sprayed from. The higher the delivery pressure the smoother the finish. The closer the gun tip is to the surface, the smoother the finish.

I found that the pressure didn't change the texture quite as much as the distance used. Next time if you are getting a smooth finish but want a ruff finish, hold the gun further away and make faster strokes.

I sprayed it exactly the same....the difference was definitely the humidity. The day I sprayed mine was cold and dry with 90lbs out of the compressor. There may be bits welded to the metal
