My "new" dog

I have been looking around for my next dog.
This guy is right around the corner from me.
He has some nice Neo's but way out of my price range.

He seems to be much happier now and thinks he is a lap dog which is a bit uncomfortable......and he drools.

The "chihuahua" doesn't like him that much but she tolerates him....it is still her house though.

We bought him from the PO but he is much like a negleted Land Cruiser. Still has good life ahead of him and just needs a little TLC.

We went by the vet to check his prior records and they mentioned taking calcium saying that it helps alot...>i will ask about the GC when we take him thursday.

Well i just thought the beagle would be to big for the apartment ;) actually my wife just wanted a beagle I like beagles but I like them when they hunt and Mastiffs don't bark.

Well there is a bad story that happened last night.

His second night in the house was last night. We went to bed around 12:00, about 3:20 we heard him whinning and started smelling something...........my wife said "I sure hope that he farted"(he has had bad gas) Well she walks down the stairs and gags when she shes the "pile of steaming poo"

Kane had developed the diarreahha. The "pile" was more like a puddle about 1 foot in diameter with the consistency of cake batter. I had to use my shovel to scoop it into a box just so we could clean the carpet. I think my body went just to the point of thowing up 3 different times and my wife did the same thing. Terrible I tell you.

Alot of that mess is, is just that a mess.....but we still haven't Kane-proofed the house and that is the reason for the trash can setting on the table. Also we don't have alot of counter space so the dirty dishes get put onto the table and then I forget about doing them.

Actually he fits quite well.....he lays around 90% of the time and he takes up alot of room but since Mastiffs aren't a really active breed they don't need alot of space. They need space to lay and eat and fart/.

Noah I am flattered that you want to see my wife's crotch but I hate to burst you bubble there are shorts somewhere in the picture. They are very short so that picture doesn't allow them to be seen.......I actually hesitated posting that picture b/c I figured one of you guys would ask if she was wearing pants..........

Mastiffs are cool dogs. I don't know how well they work out as indoor dogs though. All I know is that we had trouble with our French Bulldog getting used to the whole housebreaking deal. Fortunately we have Wilsonart laminate throughout the house, so it's easy to deal with.

The way we got him to do his thing outside consistently was to essentially bribe him. We'd walk him around outside until he did his business, then we'd rush back to the back door, take him inside and give him a treat. After a few days, he got the drill down and now waits by the door and barks when it's time for business.

It's pretty rare that he has an accident in the house because he knows that he doesn't get a treat if he does. The other nice thing is that he's pretty small, so I don't foresee him desecrating my floors to the tune of a 1' diameter hazmat site... :D


Congrats on the new dog though. Those dogs are a cool breed.

If Noah made a comment about my wife that way, she'd get on a plane and hunt him down to cut his heart out. She doesn't screw around with that type of stuff.

I'd have to agree. There's a line that shouldn't be crossed.
