Got sick of going through AA batteries so I picked up a 9.6v 2100mah NMIH for $10 shipped from a guy in MI, and wired it in. The AA's put out 12v (at full charge) but I read somewhere that the controller actually runs on 5v. It works great and according to what Ive read, I should get atleast 6 months of use out of it, probably more. then of course I can just charge it up in an hour and be good to go :D

only thing I dont like is ITS HUGE!!! and heavy. So I decided to see how the controlled would behave with a 2s Lipo. (7.4v) and so far so good, so I think im gonna do this instead... I can close the battery cover like this.

And now some gratuitous tire flexing :flipoff2:

Well the cold weather is causing problems with my memory foams. Its like wheeling at 30psi.! So I stole a set of normal foams from Gumby. They seem small, about half the size of the mem's, narrower and shorter. I cut one and installed it and it was too soft, so I put the pieces back in the foam and installed the rest un-cut. It wheels the couch just as good so far, and still wrap very well. Ill go back to mem's in the spring. But for now I must be ready for TFT. :grinpimp:

Also the 9.6v NIMH batt I use on the controller isnt working that great. I get about a week and the controller looses enough voltage that it barely works. I tested the voltage and the batt was at 7.48v. So im guessing the controller doesnt like anything below 8v. So I'll likely move to a 3s lipo. But for now this aint bad. I get about a week, and it takes about 15 min to complete the charge again. Still beats AA's.

And now its time for some couch crawling....why?.....because I said so!
