Hey guys, I'm new here, so thought I would Throw up a quick buildup of my 1992 4Runner that I picked up in Nebraska for $300....

From the day I got it in 2010 to today...

3.0 V6 with a 5spd

8/3/2010 - The day my buddy and I picked it up in BFE Nebraska. Found out once we got it back that it needed an engine...

Took out to our buddy's place to cut all the suspension out of Rob's Runner. We don't **** around when it comes to cuttin stuff out!!...

Bought some ProComp Wheels and my Buddy Matt TIG'd on the beadlock rings from DIYbeadlocks.com...

Rebuilt the F/R Axles with 5.29s and a bunch of Trail Gear Parts, Spartan Locker in the Front, and an ARB in the rear...

Took it back over to Matt's Shop and we cut all the suspension and bracketry out. Thanks to Matt, Rob, and Jeremy for that help!!...

Got the Tires mounted on the beadlocks with the newly powdercoated Rock Rings and Replaced the standard beadlock hardware with Panhead Allen Head Black Oxide Bolts...

The Rear end is just about all done. All that's left is a 90* fitting for the inlet line of my air tank. But other than that, ready to go...

The first run out, I ended the day with a broken front drivers Birf. The second trip was "uneventful", even though I was giddy as a school girl as everytime I've taken it out, its suprised me more and more, and the last trip... well, pictures will tell the story.

I am kinda OCD about everything being clean and tidy in the cab, so I spent WAY too much time getting the shfiters to work with the center console...

The only thing I've done since was I was bored in the shop one night and decided to start getting my winch wired for in cab controls and I wanted to remote mount the solenoid in the engine compartment..

So far, I'm lovin the Spartan locker in the front of this thing. its holding up great, I can't hear it disengage on the trail (or on the street when it gets a lap around the block). I hope it holds up like all the hype claims it will. Only time will tell...

Chromoly Hub Gears showed up. I got home from work and started working on getting everything back together. I was up until 5am the next morning to get everything finished up. All that was left was to put gear oil back in the front axle. Friday morning, I got up early and got everything loaded up and ready to go.

Got the factory doors off, then "soon to be half door" on, and started laying out how i wanted it cut....

I obviously have a LOT of finish work to do still plus the drivers side. Plans are to skin the tops, install a cup holder on the front angled section of the door, and a simple latch release towards the back of the door, with an interior "panel" of some sort. I'm gonna try and pick up some angle (you'll see), and some sheet steel tomorrow. Gotta figure out how to cut an enlongated 3" hole and learn to weld sheet metal. :ballbust

Oh yeah, picked these up tonight too....

Got a chance to "weld" in the angle supports I had planned. You can see what I horrible welder I am, esp with super thin sheetmetal!!

A close up of what I did for the latch release. It rides in the factory window track and works GREAT!!! have a little tweaking to do to it to make it perfect, but i love it... The "handle" is super long right now, but I plan on cutting it down, threading it and putting some sort or "tab" on the end of it to finish it off a little better. Maybe something on a certain CNC Mill?? :flipoffsmirk

Got the Drivers Side Door stripped and cut too.... and then I put a fork in it for the night. I'm gonna go get another stick of angle tomorrow so I can get the Driver's side door to the same point as the Passenger is. Then gotta start gathering materials for how I'm gonna "finish" the interior.

oh!! another thing I did that I never mentioned, is on the factory latches, I welded the lock mechanism in the unlocked position so they could never become accidentally locked for any reason, i also put them on a HUGE diet.

That's pretty much puts it up to date, minus another broken rear window from the last trip out.... Waiting on 200' of tubing to show up so I can get started on my exo cage/front bumper build. also have hydro assist steering to setup. Sorry for the long post and thanks for looking!!
