I had let the cruiser sit for a while untouched while other life events were happening. Now I decided to give the interior and some exterior bits a refresh and cleanup.

First up, was to take that terrible rattle can off the wheels. I like how the stock wheels look and the previous owner spray painted the wheels black. The whole time I’ve owned this thing I wanted either aftermarket wheels or to clean up the stock ones, but never got around to it. From 10’ away they look legit. lol

Next thing on the list was to strip the interior and clean all the panels.

Next, I ordered and installed some Amazon branded sound deadening material. Then a full carpet kit was ordered which includes the front, rear, cargo mat, and floor mats.

While I was in there I decided to remove the rear heater core and fan assembly. I had already bypassed it, but I hadn’t removed the bits that were under the seat. Now, I’ve seen write ups on how to bypass it and a couple on how to remove it, but I haven’t been able to see how people patch the hole that’s left behind. I needed to close up the hole, but I don’t own a welder or know anyone that could weld it up for me, so I put some HVAC aluminum tape over it until I find a better solution.

Speaking of holes, I found this dime sized one on the driver side floor pan. Previous owner must have been lazy and just drilled a hole to run a wire all the way to the back. So now I need advice as to how I can close this up without a welder. I was thinking some JB Weld steel stick and maybe a small piece of aluminum as a filler. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
