How hard is it and what is involved in lifting the body off of these 60 series machines?
My frame is getting rough on my 85 BJ60 and needs some patchwork. I am a welder by trade and have no problem with the fab/welding but I have never lifted the body off of a 60 before. Any tips or tricks?

Thank-you guys!

Frames and shells get cut for scrap in SoCal, but you'll get offered organs and 1st born for a good running 12H-T. Consider driving here with a couple a diesel engines and going home with a bunch of clean frames and sheet metal.

I just pulled the body off mine. All I used was a a forklift and two straps.

You do need to disconnect a few things in order for it to pull off cleanly though.

Ah so it is do-able, thats what I wanted to hear, thank-you stevojones!!

LOL I won't be chopping my shell up, here in Canada I can hardly find any 60 series that are in any kind of respectable condition. Mine body is quite good, except for the rear fenderwells.

I will likely use a forklift or a tractor of some kind to lift my body also. Cant wait for ease of accsess to everything!!
