Yes I said I have 3 4Runner projects that I'm working on at the same time. Well actual only 2 are mine and the other is my brother's but I'm doing all the work on it. To start this off I'll just give the basic info on each of the 4Runner's, 1991, 1989, and a 1986.

I've had the 91 4Runner the longest and it's fully built for wheeling (Mods are in my SIG). It had the 3.0L V6 in it but it died a back in Aug. I have a 96 Chevy 4.3L vortec with a 4L60E that I plan on swaping into it. I've already got the Downey Offroad motor mounts and swap headers. I will have to get the T-Case adapter from Advance Adapters due to Downey closing and for wiring I'm either to go with Howell or Painless.

My Brother's 4Runner will the highest priority. He is the Army (just joined last year) and just left for Iraq. He bought a 85 4Runner after getting to his first duty station. From all the pics that he sent me it actual looked to be in great shape, well when he brought it home to SC from KS before leaving for Iraq. It has some very nasty rust, it's so bad that I don't feel it's worth it to fix up. I had told him before I saw the 85 that I'd fix it up while he was gone. So what I've doing, I found a rust free 86 4Runner for $300. The 86 is completly stripped down with no engine/trans or interior. The dash and 90% of all wiring has been removed, there isn't anything under the hood. There is ton of dynamatt covering almost every inch of the interior of the body. It has Downey pre-runner fiberglass fenders and 3" body lift, for another $200 I got some rock sliders and some custom Toyota seats. I got a 94 Toyota pickup with chevy 4.3L vortec that's mated to the stock R150 trans and wired up with a Howell's harness from a member here on ih8mud (greenseaman). It's been rolled twice and hadn't been started in about a year, I got it for $700 and with all the parts it has it was well worth it. It also has a Alpro front bumper. I've talked to my brother a few times since he's been in Iraq and we've decided to paint it dark gray with a black top. The plan is to swap the 4.3 from the 94 pickup in the 86 4Runner. I got the 94 pickup running and it actual runs really good, it also looks good for a truck that's been rolled twice.

The last 4Runner is a 89, I found it while looking for a clean rust free 4Runner for my brother. I got it from Due West, SC for $1000. It has a new long block 3.0L V6 with only 15k miles but the R150 trans has a bent shift fork, the trans will stay in/shift into 1st or 2nd gear. I have two R150's to swap into this 4Runner. The body is in great shape with zero rust but the interior rough. I drove it around the guys farm, just have to start off in 3rd in 4LO. My plan for this 4Runner is to either fix up and sell it or fix it slowly over the years so when our daughter is old enough to drive she'll have a sweet first car.
