Aero looks like they cater more to the tuner scene then offroading, every muffler they had there looked like the traditional coffee can exhaust, do you have a pic or yours?

I have a Doug Thorley y-pipe mated up with a Magnaflow muffler (#11226) and i freakin love it!

Must be. The y-pipe added a deep tone with just the trd muffler before.
no i dont have any pics of it but you can see straight through the muffler. thats the great design. it sounds closest to magnaflow in my opinion(the depth of it) but is better. and isnt catered to the import tuner scene. ive seen it on some 350z and audi's but i have seen them on dodge diesels and the owners love it. i am probably the only guy with one on a tlc. its a great muffler and i have it mounted it b4 the rear axle, its awesome, i also gutted my cats. sorry i dont have pics but i dont have a camera to use. i would look more into it. hope this helps man.

wouldnt a straight through design lead to less back pressure and a loss of power since its only a V6 anyways? I was under the impression that with trucks unless you were pushing a heavily modded engine you would want some chambers to build up some pressure?
thats an old wives tale. i have good sources. i work with my friend at his muffler shop he owns. he is a genius at racing and all that for over 40 years and this is the best muffler he has had and he knows the brands but i am not going to convince you to do something you dont want. but mine is awesome and i was trying to let you know. best of luck.
p.s. but for the fj, other than the aero i suggested, the best sound i have heard is from magnaflow if you want a deep agressive sound.

I do want a deep aggressive sound I was just trying to cover all bases before I buy...I have always had silverados with flowmasters on them, so Im trying to do my research when fitting the FJ with one...When I do the exhaust I also want to slap a set of headers on there, and so far the only two that I have found were JBA and Thorley...do you know what the Aero will sound better with? Also the pics on their website are had to see do they all come with the tips on them already?

also are you using the TURBINE OR TURBINE XL?
i only have the turbine, not the XL. yes flows sound gr8 on chevy w/ full system, but hands down best for a 6 cylinder is the turbine or magnaflow. i had a flo on my lc and it was trash. oh and it came with no tip, just muffler. yea i heard both brand headers with only magnaflow muffler and it sounds great(i bet even better w/ aero). look it up on youtube and you can see some clips them. let me know if i can help you further. good luck

just google Aero Exhaust Systems its the first page that comes up...on the website they run for 123.00 im looking into ordering one...I listened to a few of em on tacos and they sound awesome...will let everyone know how it sounds once i get it on.
so you found a clip of a taco w/ a turbine? sounds good on toyota 6 huh?lol. thats awesome that you may be getting one for the fj. it will sound awesome. l8r
