i need to replace my exhaust from the cat back.
this will be the second time in 5 years that the OEM muffler rotted out.
should i spend the 120 bucks again, and know its going to last only 2-3 years, or should i go the 220 for MAF's aluminum piped cat back. althought the MAF muffler is galv. steel, like the oem, it will only cost me about 50 buck to replace the muffler, rather than 130 for the whole bunch.
whats your thoughs?
Just replaced one of these a couple days ago.
FYI, the muffler/pipe assembly is a 17430-61170.
$113.45 list, $85.09 w/ TLCA discount.

Rubber mount (cushion), 2 required, 17567-61030.
$20.21 list, $15.16 w/ discount.

I like the OEM cause it fits perfect, and is available in 24hrs. or less.

I like the MAF system cause it tucks up better, sounds better, flows better, exits better(for off-road). But it takes a little more time to install, is very expensive, and takes a week to ship to Ohio.

well..replacing just the muffler is no longer an option. lest night, i hit a bump and the STUPID ( why is this made this way?) welded bracket at the tailpipe rotted off the pipe.
thsi is after only about 2 years or less.
ties it up with tie wire, but i gotta do something tommorrow. I guess im going OEM again.
