MUD mail?

Has there been any interest in having a "Free" email set up on MUd similar to, oh say, Pirate4x4?

yes, but thats just internal to MUD, I think.

I mean something more world wide. I use pirates email service all the time, moreso than my home Telus account.

you know...email me at Enigma@ih8mud.com kinda thing

Your spam blocker will probably catch it.

Click on my screen name. A list of option will appear in a drop down box. Select send me an e-mail.

Okay, I got your email on my home account. But correct me if I'm wrong, I cannot send an email out to "joeblow@isp.com" from mud? Yes I can click on a mud users name and send them an internal email message, but there does not appear to be any kind of real email client is what I'm getting at.

So you want to send a non mud member an e-mail?

I can only imagine the amount of spam that Woody would have to go through to pull that off for all of the members.

I think TLCA is thinking about doing something like that for members.

From my home account, I sent an email to enigma@ih8mud.com, and right away it came back as undeliverable.

It's just an idea, I never said its a good one. that is why I use Pirates email service, to try and limit the spam to my home account.

But you are probably right, this site is busy enough and we all know, the world does need more spam.

I now have an extra server laying around....might be an option to add that....will check more into it, but my 'free' time is pretty limited right now...
