If back probs are a concern, I would think you would seriously want to look at full suspension. Absorb some of that extra hit on the rough stuff. A good dually in the sub 1k range will be tough though. Would have to shop used.

This X2 as well. If you do get a hardtail get a steel frame. I ride an aluminum hardtail that is awesome but it sends every bump into your ass versus a steel that absorbs some of the impact. They also make a suspension seatpost if you end up with a hardtail..

rode a friend's specialized stumjumper expert over the weekend......Angling for purchasing a 1 yr. old from a guy who can prodeal 1 mtn/1 rd per year...

No affiliation. Man, you have a good memory..very nice! Chainsmoke.com went to Two-Rides.com and no longer..

Trying to buy the URL from the owner...he's located in France and Two-Rides is about Chamonix and the other damn MT. I can't remember the name of now.

There were no restrictions on trademark, etc...so I bought both domains.. .NET and .ORG

Impressive memory!

I used to check that out waaaay back in the day. Still in my bookmarks but, yeah, saw that it went to Tworides. Just curious. Good stuff! I race 24 hour, endurance, and adventure race. I'd probably kill myself on downhill. I live in Michaux in PA, where Chris Eatough and Jeremiah Bishop cut their teeth.

Same here and was bummed to see it go offline so in tradition..I started it back up.:D

Man, that's what I call crazy is the endurance adventure racing. Hat's off..seriously and good luck with it.

Since your in PA, you've no doubt heard about the summer skiing revival at 7 Springs?

Yep--heard they're pushin' dirt around. If I was doing the 24-hour race over Labor Day there, I'd get a look, but I'm skipping it this year. I'm thinking they're doing the right thing. They have some suh-weet singletrack on the mountain already.

If n' your interested, I'll shoot you a PM closer to the day and see if it could work out.

We welcome just about anyone to ride with us.

Sure--lemme know. End of September might be kinda tight but if I don't know, I can't go. Planning to head to New Hampshire the last week of the month.
