Any thoughts on transmissions, A/T vs M/T , pros or cons for FJ Cruiser??? I would like to hear some comments before deciding on which to purchase. Thanks for any info, jorge

This should really be its own thread, but I'll throw in my $.02 -

I have the M/T and I love it, I like a standard transmission, always have always expect too. BUT, the mileage is significantly less than others are reporting with the A/T. Also, in offroad situations, such as climbing obstacles, the M/T requires much more finesse and offers less overall control than the A/T. I have not driven an A/T so cannot comment in that respect. My experience and observations only.
