I see you're not about to give up on a good thing, even with a little age on her.
My 91 4x4 truck with 30in tires k&n and cat back and 220k mi. averaged 18-19mpg but that was cruisin 80mph, except uphill. The 91 bone stock 2wd with 303k mi. averaged 24-25mpg cruisin 80 with a decent bit of city drivin mixed in. The new 85 runner hasnt been driven enough yet, but will update
