Moving to the Sierras

I'm driving my 1989 4runner from St. Louis, Missouri to Fresno, California for the summer. It has 160,000 miles on the V6 and 33's on the stock gears. I'm going to tune up the engine and check over the drive train to make sure everything is working at its optimum level before I leave. Is there anything that I should definitely check out or replace before I leave? It has a new clutch, alternator, battery. I just want to make sure my toy makes it back to St. Louis in one piece.

bring extra oil. a 2 galon can of gas. a gallon of water. and tools. this what i carry every day.
you should be fine. but since its probly close to 3,ooo miles change your oil before you leave.
