New to the LC cult and I LOVE IT! bought a FZJ80, locked, 167k OME currently living in FL, and moving to Crested Butte this Monday. Am hoping that someone in the area is willing to show me the local trails. Have never technically gone "wheeling" before, but I am ready to go and learn! Have read about Italian Creek, Devil's Punch bowl, Schofield Pass, and a couple others but would like to go with someone who has done it before and can show me the way...Let me know! Take it easy...

We are located in Colorado Springs. That is about a 3 hour drive away. You are always welcome to join our club and join our trail runs. I do not know of a Land Cruiser club that is close to you. We do spend some of our time (3 or so, events per year) near Buena Vista which is only an hour 30 minutes away from Crested Butte. Please watch this forum for upcoming events that you may want to participate in.
You probably don't want to take your stock Cruiser on the next 2 runs (Spring Creek and Holy Cross) as they might be too much for a stock truck. We will do other trails that you are more suited for before the end of the year.

Thanks for your interest.

I am taking the family (wife and 3 teenagers) down to the Taylor Pass area / Crusty Butte region for the first week of Aug. for mt biking hiking fishing and a trip north through Schofield then back on Keebler... looking to wheel with someone on that pass. have not done it or seen it yet.

i may pre run it on a motorcycle so i can see it first... open to suggestions.

big thing will be walking ahead to claim the line for that one tight one way ledge section... i have only hand winch and a highlift with chains and tow lines...

PM me for cell phone number
