So a bunch of folks from my work are going to be traveling with me to Mammoth in two weeks and I need to be able to transport up to 6 snowboards. Here are some pics of my rack setup so that folks can chime in on which way would work best.

Buy,rent or borrow a roof box if you can. Open air mounts mean that the boards/skis are covered in road salt and grime by the time you get to the hill. You can usually fit everyone's boots in the box as well which keeps the ride home slightly less stinky!

X2.....

You can find them pretty cheap on Craigslist, and just mount it to the rack

Simple solution; I don't let snowboarders ride in the Cruiser. The knuckle-dragging, neanderthals belong on busses or better yet, in zoos. :flipoff2:

Around here everyone has received hitch mounted racks with 4" PVC tubes for skis and clamps for snowboards. I don't think I've seen any rack other than on our busses that would hold 6 boards. :meh:

Maybe bring along an impact, and remove all of the bindings so you can easily stack them, and strap them together with the longest boards on the bottom.

You could just put them all up there in the rack and put a ratcheting strap from one side of the rack to the other side, make sure the strap goes through one of each boards bindings so the boards don't blow away. Easy and cheap.
