A lot has been done over the past year or so... so much so that I will need to sit back and write it up first in Word and then post up here in the coming days. But I will take a minute to answer past questions....
The Line-X'd roof has held up really well.... very little fade and it cleans up easily. So nice that I was very seriously entertaining the idea of Line-X for my rockers and the lower portion of my doors. But the bid scared me off.... at least for a lil while.
The speaker set up is still a work in progress.... it pretty much still lives the way it did when I did the write up. However I am weeks away from changing that. Currently the only speakers in the rig are the rear door mounted units and a single 12" sub, all factory audio gear was removed. A new co-worker is going to help me get the front door panels built using fiberglass pods with the factory pocket integrated. The panels will hold the Boston Pro 6.53 set up, consisting of a 6.5" mid-bass driver, 4" mid range, and 1" tweet. Details to follow..... As far as sound quality I still think they are the best speakers I have ever installed in one of my rides... so much so that these pairs have moved from one vehicle to the next 5 times!! I've had them 8 years now.
Teaser..... In the last year the rig has been fully pm'd, re-geared to 4.88s, ARB'd up front, HID Lightforce 170s installed.... In the past few months a WARN 9.5ti was added to the ARB, drawer system fully designed and all components on hand (waiting for cabinet shop buddy to help build it, hopefully this month), all components for VIAR 444 OBA system on hand waiting to be installed, all components for Dual battery system on hand.... using National Luna components and Die Hard Platinum batteries, plus the addition of a Tundra 150amp alternator courtesy of a photoman bracket...... WOW.... I have a lot of work to do this month..... I will update soon....
Thanks for the interest....
