Monache Meadows

Anyone interested in going to Monache Meadows? I'll be headed up there on June 25-26 to volunteer with the DFG in their California Golden Trout Restoration Project.

But I'm also going to get in some fishing.

- You can be a regular volunteer.
- You can just go and not volunteer
- You can help shuttle people in that don't have 4wd

Too many things going on that weekend for me. Is the meadow even going to be open that early? I'd think it would still be pretty soggy depending on where the project is.

Are you planning on camping up there? That's my 9-80 weekend so I'll be off Friday too.. just need to find out if the has something planned.

I plan on camping (sleeping in my 80). I was planning on going up there Friday. Doing some fishing Friday. Working Saturday and fishing the evening. Fishing Sunday after work.

We're going to be doing some fence manintenace at Monache Meadows. There are other events throughout the year. We'll work from 9-4 on Saturday and 9-12 on Sunday. That gives plenty of time to get in some fishing.

Are they letting the cattle roam the entire way up to the dam again? Last time we were there, they were. The flies were a nightmare. Still love the place, though.
