Sold - mombassa Roof Top Tent For Sale - $325 - Central Coast CA

I have a Mombassa RTT for sale for $325.00. No shipping, the freight drop is too far from my house. Pick up locally in Big Sur, CA (possibly meet in Monterey peninsula). It is like new. Used a few times. A couple of the pins that hold the ladder together have come free of the cables that keep you from losing them, but I just pin them through the ladder so I don't lose them (if that doesn't make sense, sorry). Besides that, it is like new. It has been great for the price but I need to pay the balance of the sliders that have already been shipped and $ is a little tight right now.

I have a few pics but will have to dif them out. If you have seen the mombassa model that alot of mud members got last fall (september). There is a thread about it, but I couldn't find it quickly to post in this one.

Thanks for shopping!

Here are a few pics. You can see other pics of it closed and other people's tents that are the same model in this thread: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=108461&highlight=roof+top+tent

You can also read all the reviews there.

before anyone asks, this tent has not been modified to fit my rack (or modified in any way). I cut the floor of my rack to accomodate the tent mounts, which are made to attach to bars, such as thule or yakima.

So the bottom of the tent attaches to the round Yakima pipes?

I don't know what I'm looking at in the pic or I can't see it.

What you are seeing is the tent on a tradesman rack without the side bars. If you want to see a bunch of mounting configurations check the thread I posted the link to. The mounts are square (with pins), so thule bars or yakima work. or a rack like mine. If you want to see a pic that isn't in the thread let me know and I will pull it out of the workshop and snap them.

I think about 105 miles on highway 1. about 2 1/2 hours last time I went. I am about 24 miles south of Rio Rd (last stoplight heading south for a long time) in Carmel (about 45 minutes drive).

no rips. I wouldn't say like new if it wasn't. Promise.

The inside of the 60 is already tiled. marble, reclaimed from one of Wonder Woman's older invisible jets. Came out of the shower. It's beautiful. :)

Is that Kirk Creek Campground in those pics.? We used to camp there alot. Also love Williow Creek for surfing&Los Burros road for wheeling&camping.
Nice tent! Im' sure it will sell fast, this is camping season!

Later,John

I'm interested in the tent and the CFO has given the green light.

I would like some more detailed pics of how it looks closed.

Is it a clam shell design that I could drive across country without having to worry about the canvas flapping apart, etc.

The closest I can get to you this week is Monterey on friday moring or late morning.

Next week I will be in Santa barabara monday night.

The mombasa (I have one) has a canvas cover that secures over the tent. I doubt anyone should need to worry about it flapping off...
