Ditto what Erik said. This weekend if focused on great cooking by Bob M. and education/questions/answers.

For Mike's benefit we've added a trail which is 45 degrees down, 30 degree off camber - all at the same time.
Most excellent SIR! I even put gas in the 40 too!!!! (I really wasn't kid'n :crybaby: ). After a few of the trails at Superlift I'm get'n better with the off-camber  Guess I just need a "Hold-My-Beer-And-Watch-This" moment and just flop the biatch.... but I'd prolly just bust a birf instead :grinpimp:

Chris is a much better driver then I and my rig is capable of more then the driver....but I'm gaining on it....I think

anyone have a welder they are bringing to weld the skidplate area for a 2F oil pan?

I will be leaving on Sat. with the family and most likely stay the night- that is the plan for now anyway. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I have a 110V CO2 gas mig I can bring. The udder one is too big. I brazed my oilpan.

Ed

If that oilpan's off, I"m sure Lance has a welder there.. We can easily weld it up.. Ed.. I wouldn't worry bout bringing one.. I'm 99% sure Lance has one.. If not then on your way back to columbia we can either weld it at my place or just make Chef weld it.. Bring him a 6pack of shiner or Sam Adams and he's a happy guy..
Just giving you an option to bring the family and not worry bout the oil pan.. But that sounds like a wonderful learning project for many to see!

The spot welds on a pan let go causing a bad leak.. I've got one on a buddy's rig I am going to fix here shortly. If it's too bad you might have to buy a new pan.. But the welding option is a good start..

I'm all for welding...love it. But in a quick fix...is it possible to clean the area up really well and use JB Weld for those that don't have access to a welder?

I normally pack a ready wealder in my truck, you are more than welcomed to use it. But will need to source two batteris from somewhere, My 24v system is not ready yet.

Kumar

I still have to remove it. Will try to do it before Saturday. It is a not a terrible leak by any means, but still is annoying.

I'm kinda with Kumar here.. It's kinda a major pain to pull those and clean that gasket etc.. I'd be really tempted to clean and start with JB Weld..
Lance has a stick welder there.. Don't think he has a mig..
I'm no good with a stick but have a buddy that is! I hate the strike it thing.. Always get that stick stuck..
Just come and have fun with us.. We can easily fix your Oil pan locally next month! Closer to your place.. I'm sure I"ll be in Columbia in July and you already have access to Sherpa and Chef.. So Bring the family, hang out eat good food and don't get all dirty..

Ok, sounds like a plan. Looking forward to Saturday. I am just gonna bring the 80 series then.

Looks like I am not going to be able to make it to the bbq after all. I was invited to Tulsa for a job interview tomorrow after noon and will probably stay with a friend down there. Hopefully when my situation and cash flow stabilizes a bit more I can become a more active participant in club activities.

Have a good one
Noah

Good Luck on the interview. I'll eat your share of BBQ and drink your beer...if that's OK.

Ed

sw, about 2 miles west from RBHS. you?

My plans changed and I will be heading up tonight with Elizabeth to follow tomorrow sometime. I don't know what y'all are thinking about breakfast tomorrow, but I'll put together some pancakes if we've got a space (not a charcoal grill) for a couple of griddles.

Gary, the Ashers are serving breakfast at 10AM, you'll find that out tonight, but I thought it might save you a little packing. If you are staying Sat night, I don't know about breakfast on Sunday.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Ed Long (and son, Graham, if he gets up in time)

Well, looks like I will not be there either to meet everyone. I am really dissapointed. My wife and I miscommunicated. She had planned a birthday party for the kids to attend that was scheduled for tomorrow. Since this planned before I knew of the BBQ, I have to back out.

There will be other events I am sure. Hopefully sooner than later. I was really looking forward to this. If anyone gets this, please pass this on. Thanks for understanding and anytime someone wants to get together, please let me know.
