Moab, UT 9/22, 9/23?

Hi, my wife and i are planning our first legitmate off road excursion and should be in moab on the posted dates. We were curious if any other mud cruisers were planning to attend? Also, for those that are familiar with the terrain Im open to suggestions for a good wheeling map, points of interest, places to avoid, and other wheeling tips. I have an fj80 with new 35's a two inch lift, a custom bumper for maximum approach/armor, and a 12k winch. I do not have a cage, or front/rear diffs. Advice, and trail friends welcome! Dale

I'm in Moab fairly often that time of year. Too early to tell yet if those dates will work but I'm subscribed.

Pick up the Chuck Wells book for the Moab area. Great, accurate descriptions. It's worth getting the spiral bound edition. FWIW, Funtreks is a Mud supporter.

Unfortunately we most likely won't be able to make it to moab this year. My wife was hit head on by a drunken crackhead last Thursday. Fortunately she'll be ok but she's most likely still going to be tender, and we'll probably have dip into our trip funds to buy a new daily driver since it appears that he didn't have insurance, which shouldn't be surprising since he also didn't have a valid drivers license, or his own car for that matter. Sorry to share our disappointment, but maybe we can do the trip another time in the near future.
