Hi Guys,

I'm off to Moab this week to celebrate my birthday in the desert. My family will join me later in the week and I'm curious if any of you might have a recommendation for one or two outstanding, intermediate, trails for a half-day trip(s) with the wife and kid? Nothing to scare the pants off the wife/kid, but high on interesting terrain and views? In the greater Moab area. Thank you in advance.

Some of my favorite areas are NW of Moab.

Gemini Bridges, Bull Canyon (goes to bottom side of G-B canyon), and Surprise Overlook (short 1/2 mile out-n-back off Bull Canyon)

Spring Canyon Point (overlooks the river) and Secret Spire (a natural monolith, short drive off Spring Canyon Pt road)

Tusher Tunnel is on the north end of Bartlett Wash Road (can also be accessed from Blue Hills Road off 195, 15+/- miles N of Moab)

Edit: Happy Birthday!!!

What SAS said. Then do Fins and Things. ;)
Great recommendations! Did the whole Gemini Bridges tour. Huge success with the family. Thanks again!
