REPEAT POST ON PURPOSE:


Our run to Gulches is still set for 19 Jan 09 on MLK Day. Please dont confuse this run with the one being done by rest of Upstate Cruisers on Saturday, 17 Jan...which is our first Work Day with US Forestry Service. If at all possible...please post in this thread whether you are going YES or NO and if you are bringing a guest. I need to give Skip a head count the week prior. They are normally only open THURSDAY-SUNDAY so this is an exception he is doing.

So far it looks like:

8. My father/brother in his (not heard final so not counting on him making it)

I am thinking that if we can all meet at THE GULCHES no later than 9:30am.....that would put us on trails by 10am hopefully and give us a good 4-6 hours of wheeling before dark. I am going to try and be there earlier than 9:30am to look at trail maps and such. I will have my cell but not sure if there is coverage there....but PM me if you want it.

I plan on leaving Charleston around 6am...says it is about 3 hours up there by Google Maps for THE GULCHES

If the Charleston and Beaufort crowd want to meet at the Rest Stop just north of town off I-26 that is cool by me....

If that is too early....and everyone would want to just meet by 11 or 12 and run it for 3-4 hours and then leave that is fine too...I am good with what is the group consensus.

Hope a lot of you can be there.....

Cool....maybe Maglight will let you follow him up if you are not familiar with area.

Hey y'all. I am trying to make it My Cruiser might be ready tomorrow. Don't know yet. Also, I am having troubles at work so i really won't know until Sunday if I will be able to make it.

Even if your cruiser is not ready you can ride shotgun with someone I am sure. Dbenke might need someone to keep him warm in that softop Jeep of his....LOL

Hope to see you tomorrow for work day and monday if possible... should not be more than 2-3 hours of work tomorrow. I got call from guy that is the US Forestry supervisor for tomorrow...and it is a go still.

I defintley(sp) won't make it to the work day. I will be in the kitchen. I talked to my mechanic just a minute ago and he said he found a crack in my radiator tank. He patched it but I am not sure if I feel comfortable taking it now.

Sent email out to everyone I have in the directory that is a member or participates. Getting anyone to respond is like pulling teeth. LOL

If there are 2-3 we will get it done.....same for Monday...always have a good time no matter the size of the group if you want to.
