Mirror mirror on the roof
How do you become aloof?:D

How does the 7* series interior mirror come away from its mount?

Dunno what you mean?
Just want to get the mirror off the window frame?
In that case in my rig it's a matter of unscrewing the metal strip on the edge of FRP-top and windowframe and then slide the cover that sits on the 'stem' of the mirror up/backward and the bolts that hold the mirror should show.
But it's quite some time I had the mirror off so I might be wrong there.

Yes ,thats what I wanted to know. I was hoping someone would say"just pull it off" like the old Holden cars that had a spring loaded clip:D
When I have my f/g camper,or the canvass on the back of my 75,I have no need of the internal mirror and was hoping it was a 2 second job
