It’s the old turnkey vs fixer-upper conundrum. Also, sometimes it takes a long time to find a good deal on a private sale and then more time to build it. Miramar has a small but good selection of rigs ready to go and in good condition so it seems.
 
Exactly. The question becomes, how much is your time worth. For me, it is worth the slight premium. But their 2007 Sport with KDSS and 87,000 miles is still $12,000 more than a 2006 stock one with KDSS and 147,000 miles I found on Craigslist. Factor in the cost of the upgrades and it is still $9,000 more, but Miramar's also has 60,000 less miles.

It breaks down to $0.15 per mile. While that is actually pretty cheap, it is still a lot of up front money. I'm probably okay with the extra miles since it won't be a daily for me. Then you also have shipping or fly and drive issues as well.
