I'minterested, How much?

There is a guy in Ontario that also tends to have a good supply on hand (416 and the larger units)

Cheers, Hugh

Did you pick them up somewhere close to the Southwest or in Canada?

My buddy Todd Oldenburg is going to have about 20 of them in New Jersey, he goes by Koffer on this site.

I was just looking at two US 101s yesterday. While they are rated for 3/4 ton, I wouldn't be suprised if they could take 3 times that! In comparison with my 2 1/2 ton utility trailer, everthing is heavier - thicker rails and shackles, way heavier springs. Axles are huge and tires are a large truck tire with a 5 lug rim. Pull two pins and the bed also dumps. They are pretty wide for a trail trailer, but would be pretty cool for anything else.
Wish I had more info, but I was just picking up parts and happened to see the 101s.

Way under-rated, in my opinion. Both that I looked at were pretty high also, so you'd might want to drop the trailer/lift your truck to match! Just something to keep in mind.

The 416s are much better suited to trail duty, I'd say.

From the sellers:
%#@&Anyone that needs any other trailers I may have a load going to California end of the month January so book early if you need one, they go quite quick then I won’t have one when you ask me.

contact Michele -mknautz@total.net She also has accessories for the trailers. tarps, lights ,spares etc

Speaking of floating, anybody have a resource for new drain plugs?

I got mine from midwest military I believe. They come and go from surplus dealers. I've seen some at owens export before. Saturn surplus. etc.

I did a complete restofubish on mine. Sandblast, paint, lights, harness, new springs, shackels, shocks, reflectors, rhino line inside, etc. All I need to do is buy new tires.

Best thing I did to it was replacing the springs. The 38 year old spings didn't move at all. Fun project. I only had one spot of rust the size of a nickel :)

It was one of Josh/Staumbaugh's trailers, Really good shape I didn't straighten any sheetmetal, just sanblast and paint, stainless hardware and all new bolt on stuff. 1k of black magic, primered, painted. All the pics are in the Yahoo m416 group

Trailer is still in va so I don't have really any updated ones with lights attached, spare underneath, or the tub lining :( Now that I have some time on my hands I might drive out the 40 pullling the trailer.

Kewl! That'll be a fun drive in late spring/early summer!

I just added a propane tank to mine and I'm finishing up a sweet camping table that will quick mount over one fender. Pics when I'm done!

M416

What are the dimensions for the M416? Also some have mentioned that they would like a longer trailer for camping. What would your ideals dimensions be? I have a trailer I am thinking of having mods done to it for camping. Need suggestions.

Thanks
Steve

For most of what I do offroading/camping/hunting, my M416 is ideal. I had a brand new heavy duty canvas cover made to Navy specs by a company out of New Jersey, I believe. They make canvas for all sorts of military restorations. I think the name of the company was Beachwood Canvas Co.
