First post in this clubhouse.

I'm looking at a '91 that is somewhere in the city. As much as like cars and cruisers, I have very little skill/experience wrenching. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a mechanic or a MUD member that might be able to go with me to look at the rig, which has been modified quite a bit. Needless to say, I'll compensate whoever can help - cold hard cash; beer; whiskey (especially Michter's Rye), chickens, whatever.

Thanks,

Bill

91? As a mechanic I would say it would have to be nearly free. The 1fz is a vastly superior motor, and didn't come out until 93. 91s had 3fe, drum brakes and no lockers. Not to mention no airbags or abs. 91-2 is the worst of the 80s and should be priced accordingly.

Wow. See, I didn't even know the difference was that big. Thanks for quick help, you saved me from myself.

Buckeye, go to the FAQ in the 80 section and study it like your dollars and cents depend on it cuz dem do. Great info in there.
