It's clear that KO2s are the clear tire to get for most here; however, my driving is mostly highways and I don't want such an aggressive look. I am on New England roads (i.e. snow, potholes, etc) 100% of the time. The 285/60/R18 tire selection options seem pretty bad and I prefer Michelin tires, so it seems I have to move to a different size.

Doing a lot of searches on this forum, it seems a 275/65/R18 size should be a good option as Michelin offers a lot in that size and it's a clear fit. They also offer tires in 285/65/R18? Is there a good reason not to go to that size?

Stick with the stock size: Michelin Latitude Tour HP

That way you won't have to buy a new spare ;)

The tundra take offs I got are Michelin LTX AT2 and they seem to be very nice as well.

I have run a set of LTX M/S2 in 275/70/18 tires for the last 80,000 miles. They are solid. Primarily highway driving for sure, but they do well on ranch roads and light trails as well. Time for some new tires: it's between the Michelin product and KO2s. I like the look of KO2s but I can't imagine any tire matching the longevity of the LTX MS/2.

Thanks for all the input, guys. While I'd like to save a few hundred bucks and not have to buy a spare due to moving to a new size, the Michelin Latitude HP doesn't look like a good tire compared to the AT2 and MS2. Any thoughts on 275/70/18 or 275/65/18? Why would I choose the smaller tire besides cost savings?

I've always been either a Michelin or BFG guy. I know you are asking about Michelins but when I purchased my 200 used, the PO had just installed Hankook Dynapro HP2 (street biased) in the stock size. I was somewhat skeptical but since I was going to daily drive for a while, and have a built 100, I left them on. I've put about 10k miles on them and have to say I am very impressed with their wear, ride, handling and traction. Note I live in Dallas so your weather/traction needs may differ. All the reviews I can find are very positive and they appear to be around $50/tire less than Michelins (new). Just food for thought. Good luck!

You could always go with Toyo AT2 in a P rated tire which offers all the sizes you want and you get a little aggressive sidewall, good winter traction and hwy smooth.

Great things to think about, everyone. I took a look at the Toyo AT2 and in stock size. Great look and I wouldn't have to buy a 5th tire, but I don't think I'm willing to take a hit in the noise department over the Michelin MS2. To avoid any risk of rubbing, I think I'm going to end up with the 275/65/R18 Michelin MS2.

Don't think you would with the P rated version...

If you haven't pulled the trigger yet on the MS2's, take a look at the michelin AT2's. Slightly more aggressive looking but, absolutely awesome ride and handling and super quiet.

I ended up with the MS2's in 275/65/18. I definitely would have gotten the Michelin At2 if I wanted better handling off road or in snow. I also didn't think my stock black 200 would look as good with a more aggressive tire after going through a lot of pics on this site.

Can you post a couple of pix of your new tire set up when you get a chance? I'm 99% on road here (unfortunately) in Ohio, but want to do at least the 1" factory lift spacers and add some larger tires not sure what the 65 profile may look like vs. the 70 profile LTX's...

Thanks,

Jeff
