I hate to create yet another tire thread but I've got this specific size question that I could really use some feedback on. I tried asking over on the big LTX thread on the 200 board but didn't hear much. These tires aren't cheap and they last forever so I want to make the right decision.

I have plenty of experience with various Defenders on my 200, 4Runner, etc. Now thinking of throwing some on my LX470. I can get the stock size 275/70R16 but the 265/75R16 is also available. I have them compared below, and I can see the obvious (small) differences in size, weight etc. Not worried about any of that. What I am curious about is the difference in service description between these two sizes. The 275 is H-rated, the 265 is T. These are both SL load range although the 265 has a slightly higher load index. So the question is: in the real world is there likely to be a any difference in the ride quality between these two sizes? Does the higher speed rating of the 275 mean it will be stiffer and less compliant? Any other comments from experience? My priority is comfort on-road and off (mild, think washboards). Which should I get? Thanks!

Not a 1:1 comparison, but my LX is on that size using Toyo Open Country. Rides fine for me.
Hear everyone who has driven it say its the best ride out of the group. But also I am the only one with AHC too.

Not sure if there is a differencethehebetween the two, I have Defender LTX M/S2 275/70/R18.

It feels like I'm riding on 4 pieces of butter down flapjack lane.
I had those on my '14 Ram, like riding on the top of a magic carpet. Michelin needs to make LTXs in 315-70-17.
