thanks

:rolleyes:Just make sure they are clean inside and drain out as much as possible. A bit of diesel won't hurt your gas engine. Think about the dilution ratio here. 128oz to the gallon. What, maybe 1 oz could stick to the inside of the can. You have 5 gallons of fuel so that is a 600:1 dilution. Your truck won't notice it.

What really needs to be done is to swap that diesel only gasket to a gas compatible one. That is much more critical.

No issue using cans for gas. I use my cans for both gas and diesel all the time. Dilution is your friend!

im getting the one with viton gasket, so cleaning it with gas will put me on the safe side , thanks alot.

Way back in the day, when they took the lead out of the gas , I would put a bit of diesel in my 1980 FJ 40s gas tank to help the valve seats and top end lube. I have not owned a gas vehicle sine 1989.

Except for my Aprilia scooter
