Headin' out on a roadtrip in a coupla weeks with my jeep and lil' off-road campin' trailer. Route on my phone shows my first 500-mile waypoint is Meridian.

Any suggestions on somewhere I can spend the night in my trailer in that area? Looks like maybe a coupla lakes and a national forest 'round there.

Not lookin' for anythang spectacular … just somethin' better than a rest area or truck stop.

Clarkco State Park is a bit south of the interstate, but it's a nice campground.

Safe travels, Kowboy!

I haven’t camped close by but have heard good things about Clarkco. There are some campgrounds up at Okatibbee reservoir but never stayed there either. Both should work ok for a night but aren’t free. Now violet is a National Forest between meridian and Jackson which should have some dispersed sites. Planned to check that out but haven’t yet. Sorry can’t be more helpful but am in Meridian if you need anything else.
