The good news is that my new job assignment of hirin' Folks looks like is gonna give me some free time to enjoy some of the local activities.

Done spent the last two nights get plastered on the World Famous Beale Street. Ev'ry friggin' bar had a great band. Unbelievable scene. T-shirt in shop window summed it up :

"It ain't white ... it ain't black ... it's just the Blues."

Lots of history here ... way cool place. Two White Trash Thumbs Up. :grinpimp:

But today was one of the best days ever.

Went to Graceland. :bounce: :bounce2: :bounce:

By Gawd ev'ry single red-blooded American in this here Country should be required to go there. The place left me speechless ... and that don't happen much. :D

Even picked me up a 3 ft. black velvet Elvis picture for the 3X's.

Carry on.

:flamingo:

Did ya get the black light to go with the velvet? Gotta have the damn light!! Man... that's gonna look awesome!

Later,

How long are you in Memphis for Kowboy? I am flying in and out of there to get to Little Rock for work (no direct flights to Denver). I may be able to tweak flights and meet you for a beer (or 20).

Welcome to Memphis:beer:

Do they still have the Elvis driver's licenses in the gift shop? Get's you out of a ticket every time:)

Enjoy your stay in our lovely city:beer:

None other than Randy and Casey Kruse. They been somewhere seein' Randy's brother and were passin' through on their way back home to Katemcy.

I'm just glad they didn't embarass me by askin' for my autograph. :grinpimp:

Lol I am flying through Dallas to get home Thursday night. I can't stop though, have a date this weeked, otherwise I would (:princess: takes precedence over :flamingo: , ;) )

I think they are going to send me to Georgia now, I'll find out later today. Different client, same fubar airport :crybaby:

Back in Memphis. Some asshat broke into the cab of the Trusty Ol' Company Truck last night in the hotel parkin' lot. s*** was layin' all over the cab ... but didn't seem to take nothin'.

Reckon the fella didn't find what he was lookin' for. Evidently didn't like my choice of the 12 shirts hangin' on a clothes bar in the extended cab or the 50 CD's of the finest Texas music available. Fortunately, ev'rythang of value was with me in the room. Least he didn't destroy nothin' outta spite.

Only damage is to the lock cylinder on the driver's door where he broke in. It's fawked.

Ironic part is that the hotel's gotta security guard on duty at night. Reckon he was sleepin'.

Hotel management certainly doesn't seem to give a s***. Leavin' in the mornin' to drive to Chicago ... and sure as hell ain't comin' back to this hotel.

:flamingo:

What part of town you been stayin in? Asshats come a dime a dozen round here, even cheaper in some parts.

Holler if you run out of ammo or need to round up a posse!

Been stayin off I-240 on the south side of town. First go 'round was at the Holiday Inn at exit 17 (Mt. Moriah Road). One of my co-workers trucks got broke into so the next round I moved an exit down to the Hampton Inn at exit 18 (Perkins Road) where mine got broke into.

Prob'ly headed back when I leave Chicago so any advise would sure be appreciated sir.

Try downtown at the Holiday Inn by the baseball park or the Peabody across the street....you may get asked about that expense but its worth it....the ducks are cool!:grinpimp:

By the way staying there will make you much closer to Belle Street!

I'll vote for a great little establishment that I am quite fond of! Platinum Plus! OHHHH YEAAAAH! I might have to come see ya if you go decide to go there. If you get into any trouble up there, my Brother lives in Collierville, TN. (right out of Mempho).

Later,

Ain't stayin downtown ... and I done seen the ducks at Peabody ... which were actually purdy cool ... but ain't much compared to my critters. :grinpimp:

Platinum Plus is right next to the first hotel I stayed at and my coworker's truck was broke into ... which is why I moved ... so my truck wouldn't.

And if'n your brother's anythang like you ... I don't wanna meet 'im.:flipoff2:

FJ60Cam's done given me some local advice ... and mite even hook up with me for a beer ... or 12.

Was driving past there today and saw the "Girls Gone Wild" tourbus out front!

Oh hail yeah! I gotta get up there!

I worked on a job on the sotheast side of Memphis for two weeks a month, for 2 1/2 years. I lived in a gated comunity so it was't to bad. After the second time a bullet went through my apartment, I moved to Southhaven MS.

It was totally worth the drive
