If my memory is right on the name of the trail, I ran Bull Park last summer in an 1986 IFS 4Runner with a front locker and while it made it ok it was one of the least enjoyable times I've ever had in that vehicle. Lurching and bumping the whole way over a rocky trail . My wife and kids got out and walked because they were so fed up with getting thrown all over the place (in fact, I would have gotten out and walked if anyone else would have driven the truck). I might do again in my solid axle truck but not in the IFS one.

Sorry I didn't make it but it was a Beauty of a day so I'm sure you guys had a great time. Any pics!?

It ended up being vic and I on the trail, pushed the ol' 40 to it's limits in some spots. Trail was not as crowded as I thought it would be. Had a great time as uaual. Really impressed where a stock 40 can go without lockers.

I'll try to post some pics if I get some time. The road across from the entrance to bull park is 379, a connector to Eagle Rock that comes out on Gold Camp Road. that is the road we were going to police but we ended up policing Reynold's Wrap and Bull Park instead. Yes, Bull Park is a rocky road that does not let up very much. I spent a good part of the day there hiking and did not get back to COS until 8:00 PM. I found a side trail that goes down the mountain and is loose and hard core; will save that for when some other rigs are along. I talked to Frank, the USFS enforcement officer, who said that all roads are already open in the area due to a shortfall of snow on that side of the Peak. This includes Eagle Rock.

One other thing - the meeting time and place for scheduled trail runs is at the bottom of the calendar link on our web page. I mention this because there were a couple of questions about the time and place earlier in the thread. This information is the default for scheduled trail runs unless other circumstances prevail.

Depending on where you are talking about. (I'm guessing Bull Park.) The road you saw is probably an illegal road. Currently there are VERY few legal side roads in the area. And no legal side roads from Bull Park (FSR 376.A).
