While many were enjoying Churn Creek, Robert, Craig and I headed for other trails. We started off by East Gate, failed an overly ambitious attempt at crossing to Ashnola valley (I didn't think we would make it but I wanted to try, we did hit 1850m by the time the snow stopped us) and ended up by the river in an off the beaten path spot. We then took gravel up through Princeton, to a spot we found off the Princeton-Summerland connector. Follwing that we went east, through summerland, Princeton, and east to explore many dead ends and long forgotten trails. Ended up at Solco Lake for the night. Next day headed south and found refuge by an old man made, dammed up lake that either dried up or was never finished properly, found a cool place to spend the night and relax. Next day headed home through a nice little trail offering good views of Osoyoos. Had a bunch of fun, great food, managed to get through 1950m after some winching and digging, amazingly nothing broke ....Craig did recycle some diff oil due to a bad seal but overall it was another great trip.
