Has anyone attempted to mount their matrax to their Slee ladder? I am sure it can be done, just seeking advice from experience. I don't have my matrix yet and I am sure they are wider than the ladder...? Not sure if the matrix pins will work? I don't want to put them on my spare as I don't want to increase my vehicle length..
@sleeoffroad ???

Call @sleeoffroad and order their custom mounts that specifically fit two Maxtrax boards very nicely in front of the spare (tucked nicely behind the rear hatch).

See mine below:

Then...if you decide you want Rotopax too? Those can be mounted to the ladder via either Rotopax mounts, or in combination with a swingout From Slee that specifically is made to retain use of the ladder in conjunction with up to two, 4-gallon Rotopax.

**AND... If you are interested, I actually have all the rotopax mounts and special ladder-side Slee swing mentioned above for sale. It is an excellent solution, and the only reason I don’t use it is because I installed a big, second fuel tank.

PM if interested as using mine could save you a LOT of $. They do not come cheap buying new

Beyond that... Slee definitely makes a slick Maxtrax solution for the spare tire side...nice and tight against the vehicle. See below:

If interested in Rotopax definitely consider ladder mounting...and like I say, my Slee-made ladder swingout is for sale (this is before I had the slee maxtrax mount)...

How do you like your Ridge Grappler on the highway? Do they stay well balanced?

Once properly balanced, they stay balanced. Definitely have them do what some shops calls a “dynamic” balance setting on their automated machine... I had a horrible balance job early on because it wasn’t taking into account width, etc. Once balanced they’ve stayed dead on.

Thanks @Markuson! I always love yours pics as well. Whats with the trays on the inside of the swing-out? And what are using using for the shop towel holder?
Your pics helped me see something that I had overlooked! I DONT want my Maxtraxx on the rear! Looking at your pics I am reminded of how much I dislike the spare blocking my rear window, and it will only get worse if I install the Maxtraxx on the ladder! So to the roof rack they go!

Heh... I get teased about those shop towels all the time.... :) but when you use the tailgate as a workbench, food prep station and greasy-hand clean-up spot on the road...having those towels is just plain awesome. :)

The blocked view is why I added a rear view camera that doesn’t require being in reverse. Happily though, I have a pretty decent view out my rear view mirror still. I avoid putting stuff on my riff if I can help it...

When fully loaded with camping gear ...lots of guys have ZERO view with fridges, etc. So meh...
